Home support works better when it sounds like home.

The Home & Family resources are not designed to turn parents into classroom managers. They translate a small number of routines into language families can actually use without recreating school at the kitchen table.

Keep the language short

A routine that needs a paragraph every night will not last. Use the same small cue and the same finish state.

Pick one friction point

Homework, getting ready, waiting, cleanup and device transitions are different problems. Work on one predictable moment instead of announcing a whole-house behaviour plan.

Do not turn practice into punishment

The goal is to make a routine easier to perform next time, not to make children rehearse because they are in trouble.

Share the pattern, not the blame

When home and school use compatible language, the child gets a clearer system. That does not require identical rules in two different environments.
