Overview

The Fixes provides teacher-facing product information, coach-facing product information and classroom-ready digital tools. We intentionally minimize data collection and keep the commercial layer away from the classroom experience.

Analytics

On adult-facing teacher and coach pages, The Fixes uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages and Fixes are useful and to measure actions such as exploring a product, opening a classroom tool, using a coaching tool, downloading a resource, or clicking Pay What It Was Worth.

For visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, Google consent controls are connected to Google consent mode for analytics. Classroom/run pages and the projected Schedule app do not contain Google Analytics. This privacy page may load GA4 for site measurement but does not load AdSense ad-serving code.

Classroom / run pages

Some tools may use browser-local storage for settings, progress or preferences. That storage remains in the browser unless a specific tool clearly states otherwise.

Schedule Browse & Show: the Schedule itself does not inject advertising or analytics. If a teacher deliberately pastes a third-party website, image, PDF or video link into Browse & Show, that external provider may apply its own content, cookies, analytics or advertising inside its player or page. The Fixes does not choose or monetize that third-party content. Teachers should preview unfamiliar material before projecting it to students; YouTube links use the privacy-enhanced player when possible.

Children & classroom use

The Fixes is designed for educators and does not require student accounts. The teacher-facing website is intended for educators and other adults. Student-facing classroom/run pages are kept separate from the advertising and analytics layer.

Classroom/run pages and the projected Schedule app do not load Google AdSense or Google Analytics, and The Fixes does not use activity on those classroom-facing routes to select or target personalized advertising to children. Google advertising is not placed on those routes. Because the legal definition of a child varies by jurisdiction, The Fixes applies this classroom boundary without relying on a single age threshold.

Advertising

The website may use Google AdSense on eligible adult-facing teacher and coaching pages only, such as the homepage, teacher category hubs, adult coaching pages, product-information pages, the Library and Field Notes editorial pages. Find a Fix and the teacher-facing N.O.W. utility are intentionally kept ad-free. Classroom and student-facing /run/ pages remain ad-free.

During AdSense review or other periods when advertising is disabled, Google’s AdSense connection code may still be present on eligible adult-facing pages for site verification, while visible manual ad placements remain turned off. Auto Ads are not used in this release.

Third-Party Advertising, Cookies & Identifiers

Eligible adult-facing teacher and coaching pages may use third-party advertising services. These advertising providers and their partners may place or read cookies, use browser storage, web beacons or pixels, and process information such as IP address, browser and device information, device or advertising identifiers, page and ad interaction information, and approximate location where permitted. These technologies may be used to request and deliver ads, limit repeated ads, prevent fraud, measure performance, report activity and, where consent and law permit, personalize advertising.

If Google AdSense advertising is enabled, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar identifiers to serve ads based on a visitor's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google may also use these technologies on eligible adult-facing pages. The site may also integrate Infolinks advertising technology on eligible adult-facing pages. Infolinks may not serve advertising on every page or at all times, and integration does not imply that the site has been approved for, or is actively receiving, Infolinks advertising. If Infolinks advertising is activated, Infolinks and its advertising partners may use cookies, web beacons and similar technologies for ad delivery, measurement, reporting, analytics and advertising-related purposes. Users may also use AboutAds / WebChoices or the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out tools to manage interest-based advertising choices for participating companies. Visitors in Europe may also use Your Online Choices.

These third-party advertising technologies are not placed on student-facing /run/ pages or the projected Schedule app. Those classroom-facing experiences remain outside the advertising and analytics layer.

Voluntary payments

If you choose Pay What It Was Worth, you leave The Fixes and complete payment through Stripe. Stripe processes the payment information. The Fixes site does not receive or store your full card number.

Cookies & browser storage

Google Analytics and, if enabled, third-party advertising services such as Google AdSense or Infolinks may use cookies, browser storage, web beacons or similar technologies on eligible adult-facing pages according to the visitor's location, consent choices and applicable law. Classroom tools may separately use browser-local storage for their own settings, progress or saved state; that classroom storage stays in the browser unless a tool clearly states otherwise.

Your settings

On eligible adult-facing pages, available privacy and cookie controls allow visitors to review or change applicable choices. This policy page remains free of ad-serving code; GA4 measurement follows the same regional consent rules described above. The student-facing classroom/run routes and projected Schedule app remain outside the advertising layer.
