THE PLAYING
TIME FIX™

Playing time gets complicated when the plan, the score, injuries and the flow of the game all start moving at once. The Playing Time Fix gives the coach a lightweight way to plan, track and review without coaching from a spreadsheet.

What it solves

MEMORY IS A TERRIBLE
PLAYING-TIME SYSTEM.

The point is not to turn every game into an equality calculation. It is to make intentional decisions visible enough that the coach can review them honestly later.

01 · PLAN

Decide before pressure

Set the sport, game context, number of active players and the substitution intention before the whistle.

02 · TRACK

Record reality quickly

Use simple game controls to capture what actually happens without staring at the device.

03 · REVIEW

Compare intention to reality

Afterward, use the record to see where the game changed the plan and what you want to do differently next time.

What this tool does — and what it does not do

The Playing Time Fix is not a promise that every player receives identical minutes. Different sports, competition levels, injuries, attendance, positions and game situations make that unrealistic. It is a system for making the coach's intention explicit before the game and the actual outcome visible afterward.

That distinction matters. A coach can make a reasonable decision and still discover that one player disappeared from the rotation longer than intended. Another player may have played far more because the game demanded it. The value is not in forcing the numbers to match. The value is in having something better than memory when you review the game or answer a fair question from a family.

When it helps most

  • Large rosters where substitutions are easy to lose track of.
  • Development environments where playing opportunity is part of the coaching plan.
  • Games with changing positions, injuries or situational substitutions.
  • Coaches who want cleaner post-game conversations without carrying a clipboard all night.
